Regardless of one’s opinion on the appearance or handling of a powercat, it is undeniable that they offer a smooth ride in choppy waters. The Twin Vee 340 Go Fish-X (or GFX) center console is designed for the avid angler and boater who prioritizes both power and performance. Combining Twin Vee’s unique design principles, this boat is built to handle waves and catch fish - making it an ideal machine for those who want to compete as world-class sportsmen. With a 34’ LOA and a wide 11’4” beam, this center console feels much more spacious than its stats may lead you to believe.

Engines And Performance

This center console boat comes standard with twin Suzuki 350APX engines, or boat buyer's can upgrade to the optional twin Suzuki 400APX, offering the max horsepower for the model with 800 total horsepower. She has a fuel capacity of 382 gallons. The helm station offers a three-sided enclosure with foam padded foot rests and comfortable seating. The 340 CC GFX offers a stable ride that cuts through chop better than many comparable 30 foot and longer monohull style boats. Llebroc helm seats behind the glass feature flip-down arm rests and flip-up bolsters.

Hull Design

The 340 GFX is designed with a compression tunnel that narrows towards the back, which mixes air and water to dampen impact. In addition, its knife-like entries slice through the waves instead of slamming into them, resulting in a much more comfortable ride for your team or dayboat passengers along for the ride. This also gives you a boat that can confidently navigate through rough inlets, while larger boats might be too hesitant to do so.

Stern And Transom

On the stern of the boat, a swim platform provides an access hatch to the bilge area for easily reaching pumps and filters, making maintenance simple. There is a fold up, drop down swim ladder in between the engine for easy access to the water. A transom door provides access to the cockpit and there are convenient transom tackle stations on either side of this pass through. Plus a pull-out freshwater shower by the swim platform.

The center console on the Twin Vee 340 GFX offers Console storage area for bow cushions and head, access to panels, fuses and switches, with a roll down curtain to hide them. Battery switches.

Bow Area

In the bow area there is a massive amount of forward deck space, removable cushions with storage underneath - windlass with chain locker storage and bow roller. Big bow hatches for additional storage, pop-up cleats. Forward of the helm station big custom upholstered sun lounger with insulated storage underneath.

Fishing Features

Upon close examination, it becomes clear that the 340 GFX is extremely well-equipped for fishing adventures. Twin Vee offers 18 stainless-steel rod holders as part of their standard equipment, including eight standard flush-mount rod holders in the gunwales and five on each side of the transom. She boats under-gunwale racks, a tackle stowage station with eight tackle boxes and three bulk stowage drawers in the transom, a bow tackle station, insulated in-deck fish boxes with macerator pumps, and both raw and freshwater washdowns. The livewell capacity is also notable, with two 45-gallon wells in the transom and a 40-gallon livewell in the back of the leaning post.

Additionally, there is a large coffin box under the forward console lounger that can serve as a bulk stowage compartment or a large fishbox. Other standard amenities include fresh and raw water washdowns, a tackle station that can accommodate eight Plano boxes and has ample leader stowage.

Helm Station

The console on the 340 GFX has all the functions every angler needs, coupled with beautiful design elements unique to Twin Vee. It features a polished stainless steel three-spoke steering wheel with a turning knob and Seastar electric/hydraulic steering, a three-bank battery charger, acrylic dashboard with an extra-large surface area for electronics, a three-sided acrylic windshield, a center sport console with a forward-facing insulated coffin/storage box and fully upholstered lounge-style seating. The finishings on the 340 GFX certainly don’t disappoint those of us who really appreciate carefully thought out style and craft.
